TanyaTraboulsi - Fog

A shroud of fog hovers over Beirut’s high-rises, dwellings and boardwalk – the city hangs in veiled stasis.

Disrupting atmospheric conditions with her Rolleiflex TLR, Tanya Traboulsi’s manipulation of the lens produces scenes of uncertainty.

Today’s structure of society does not favour individuality or privacy. This series is a visual reflection of the need for privacy, discreetness and respect for the other.

Tanya Traboulsi is listening to:

Boards of Canada, Sigur Ros, Demdike Stare, Nils Frahm, Bill Evans, Rachmaninoff, and many more

Tanya Traboulsi is influenced by:

Taryn Simon, Alex Prager, Walid Raad, Joanna Hadjithomas & Khalil Joreige, Alec Soth, David Lynch, Jonas Mekas, Massimo Vitali, Klaus Kinski, Romy Schneider
