Irish band Altar of Plagues explore personal struggle and the purifying pain of absolution in this visceral depiction of catharsis.
A violent threat overshadows the dualistic thread of the narrative, punctuated by elemental symbols for fire and water, deepening the ritualistic dynamic of opposition communicated through attraction and repulsion, male versus female, and chromatically – black versus white.
